Every chair is born from the same problem: a place to sit, this was the only premise established when working on this project, to design a chair, a place to sit. Without the "re-" in front of it. A great challenge to thrive as a first solo project.

BIRTH OF POLA

Formally Pola is born from a small origami exercise made with the simplification of the pattern of a horse saddle.

Pola allows its designer to focus on its essence and philosophy and translate them in a pure way. It is, in essence, a seat that explores the psychology and life of the user who wants to buy it (belonging to the baby boom generation, close to the equestrian world, about to retire), as it has an unprecedented and rational form, easily associated with elements used during childhood, such as a slingshot or a swing.

For its production a first piece was made, the "head", to which the legs, the backrest and the seat were subordinated, which is interchangeable being this useful in case of breakage or as a sales strategy, since multiple seats can be designed adapted to different situations or as a collection.

Thus was born Pola, a chair that brings the past to the present, that reconnects the user with elements of his childhood, that will make this past something permanent in the collective imagination of the people who grow up around it, preventing us from forgetting the root of who we are.
