ESADA will be one of the headquarters of the Global Game Jam, the largest gathering of videogame creators

Our school will become one of the headquarters of the Global Game Jam, the largest meeting of video game creators in the world where programmers, developers, creators and artists will celebrate an international creative marathon.

During January 26 and 28 this meeting will bring together in 700 cities in 95 countries around the world developers of all profiles that will create games with the same theme within a deadline of 48 hours.

In the case of Granada, with 101 seats, it is estimated that during the meeting will be produced between 20 and 25 new creations, as reported by the Councilor for Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ana Muñoz this morning at a press conference.

The video game industry reached a consumption in Spain of 2016 of 1,163 million euros, "an industry on the rise, with an important niche of employment and, above all, capable of retaining the talent of the city".

To attend the event, whose registration can still be done on the website globalgamejam.granadajam.com, no technical requirements are required, because "it is an appointment aimed at fostering, through information and collaboration, creativity, talent, empathy and in many cases provokes professional vocations ".

The meeting is aimed at programmers, artists, musicians, writers, both professionals and amateurs who will have training activities, such as a 3D printing workshop and talks focused on creativity and design.

For its part, the Association of Videogame Developers of Granadajam, organizer of the creative marathon, will reward the best games with mentions to the best soundtrack, graphics, mechanics, video game and board game.
