DIY: AWITA teaches us how to silk screen our clothes

DIY: AWITA teaches us how to silk screen our clothes
03 April 2018

Nuria Polo, founder of the clothing brand 'Awita', visits us during our Creative Week accompanied by her extravagant philosophy 'More is More'.

She visited our school to teach our students how to give a special touch to our clothes thanks to the serigraphy. The workshop, which took place in two days, addressed the design itself, as well as the creation of the screen, emulsion and stamping of the garments. A real luxury for lovers of craft processes of printing.

Nuria, who saw herself with water up in her neck with the onset of the crisis (hence the name of her brand), decided to reinvent herself using the pattern design knowledge she had and started her own clothing brand.

Currently Awita is a clothing brand with a lot of personality; excessive, vain, coquettish, sexy, witty and exclusive. Its base of operations is in Granada and you can find your clothes in its own showroom, although thanks to its online store, they reach the whole world.

Once the screens are prepared with the dry emulsion, the designs are developed with the help of a spotlight.
The design result in two inks.
