Foreign Languages
CLE specialises in English as the international language of education, design and research. In the academic year 2022/23 a pilot programme for the assessment and accreditation of the level of French has been launched.
The programme includes both learning courses and language level accreditation according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The CLE is part of ESADA's ambitious programme for the internationalisation of education.
Preparatory courses
The courses taught at CLE are intensive and specific to improve language skills.
For students of ESADA's official degrees, free courses are organised every semester specifically to help with the presentation of design projects. These courses will be announced at the beginning of each semester, where the criteria for the ranking will be published.
Likewise, for both PDI and PAS staff, there are regular calls for free courses, specific to the performance of their work in the institution.
In addition, courses and activities at different levels are regularly offered to students from outside ESADA.

Level accreditation
It is crucial to be able to accredit the level of language acquisition according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). CLE tests all four language skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The levels assessed in CLE range from level A1 to level C1.
In the evaluation process, the evaluation is graded from 0 to a maximum of 10 points, with the following scale:
- Between 6.0 and 6.9 points = Pass.
- Between 7.0 and 8.9 points = Merit.
- Between 9.0 and 10 points = Distinction.
The Council of Europe provides you with a Self-Assessment Grid to determine, approximately, your language level.

At present, CLE certification does not serve as accreditation for the language levels required to obtain a bachelor's degree in Spanish universities.
