For this project Carmen Lozano Ortiz has been asked to renovate a house located in the historic neighborhood of Albaicín.

The clients demanded a "Nordic design" based its interior in light tones, where vegetation and wood as the main material abound.

The first thing Carmen thought at the beginning of the project was that both the interior and the exterior of the house should dialogue with each other.

So, after visiting the house Carmen could see the renovations that the house has undergone over time, and how those "scars" that remain in sight, tell a story: both of the people who lived there and those who live there today, she wondered why hide them? why impose on that house a design that has nothing to do with its history or with the environment that is located? why not highlight and beautify all those marks that have been forming its own history? why contemporize in the Albaicin?
