Memories of the Soul Spring/Summer 2022, is composed of 12 non-commercial looks, inspired by the doctrine of spiritualism, merging the concepts of ready-to-wear and Haute Couture.

It is an idealistic doctrine on the spiritual basis of the world that considers the soul to be independent of the body, and also proposes to replace science with blind faith in spirits. Research on spiritualism leads to the conclusion that there are different ways of approaching and perceiving the world, in a different way from the one we know. Through different methods, many experiences lived and to be lived can be deciphered; but the most important thing is that it is possible to look beyond and heal the interior of each person to improve and be happy. Some branches of spiritualism are present in the designs of the collection, through the materials and silhouettes that bring transparencies, openings and volumes to represent the archives of the soul and the healing of the interior of each person.

In addition, the collection is characterized by a transition, divided into two parts: the beings of darkness and the beings of light, being present in the choice of the color palette, in which we will see dark and warm tones such as deep red, apricot orange or canary yellow, which convey these sensations.

From Spiritism to Haute Couture

On the other hand, the analysis of the Haute Couture and Prêt-à-porter collections of designers such as Alexander Mcqueen, Zuhair Murad Valentino or Elie Saab among others, is reflected in part in the silhouettes and tight or moving shapes of the collection. It also makes use of bobbin lace, created in Belgium (1561) by Barbara Uttman. In the collection we can find pants in different shapes, materials or colors; capes of different lengths or prints such as floral; tops with shapes, silhouettes, necklines (V-neck or round neck) or colors such as lemon yellow; and dresses in which transparent fabrics predominate.

Finally, we have designed a look that is composed of a long-sleeved bodysuit with transparent lace top and black round nipple shield with panties for which we will use lycra; wide aquamarine blue pants made with organza, thus being able to show the body; and a long transparent lilac cape.

It should be added that, although it is hard to believe, we all have a gift within us, and that its development depends on our state, and what we want to feel and believe, but remember that sometimes fear clouds us.
