What if the city center became a green lung?

The "Arka" project provides a solution to a problem that society faces day after day, the lack of natural spaces in the urban area. The concentration of gases in the center of Granada makes a simple walk an asphyxiating experience. This leads society to be more sedentary looking for places with better acclimatization where to go. Therefore, we have designed a dome that will solve health problems, regulate the thermal sensation and provide a spectacular experience to those who walk through the city. We have decided to call our design "Arka" because it means 'refuge and salvation', which is exactly what we want to bring to the city. With the installation of this structure, we are convinced that citizens will find in it a space where innovation and nature can coexist.

"Arka" consists of stainless steel supports located at strategic points in the city, creating a network of which some areas will be left free so as not to impede the flow of air or create a claustrophobic sensation, and others will be covered with vegetation. We have studied which types of plants are most suitable for the different heights of our dome. This has been rigorously designed to work perfectly; modular solar panels, rainwater tanks with irrigation system for the green roofs, humidifiers to prevent fires and the possibility of free circulation inside the dome.

If we want to enjoy our city again, we must give back what we have taken from it.
