First of all, the objective we wanted to achieve was to reduce waste created by the company we work for by taking advantage of avocados that are in poor condition or have a poor aesthetic appearance. To do this, after a process of research, we came to the conclusion that we could create ink with the fleshiest part of the avocado pit and at the same time design with the seed itself the container that would collect that ink, carving it in the shape of a bowl and including the logo of the brand that will create called INKA, which comes from the word ink in English INK and originating a play on words since the INCA culture was the first in which there is evidence that they cultivated the avocado.

Secondly, while expanding the information on how to get more out of the avocado, it was discovered that students at the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam had developed a kind of leather not unlike animal leather from discarded fruit.

That said, the second idea would be to make leather from avocado pulp to create eco-friendly sketchbooks to go along with the ink, which would be light and easy to carry for drawing, writing, note-taking... anywhere.
