The Terras Gauda winery is holding its biennial "Francisco Mantecón" International Poster Design Competition.

This competition seeks to attract all the talent and creativity of the five continents with a single mission: to create a striking image that shows the most characteristic values of northwestern Spain.

To this end, our second year Graphics student, Ángela Bayo, has created a magnificent proposal for this contest in which she has generated not only the poster, but also the graphic image, which has centered her idea on the Celtic symbolism of the number three.

"The image of a poster that conceptually shows the relationship between the Galician lands and wine. In the poster proposal, the image of a bottle and the map of the Galician coast have been merged. In the main image there are three bottles, which besides representing the wine character of this place, symbolize the number three, a magic number for the Celts that appears in their trisquel, which represents the land, the sea and the sky, or on the other hand, love, fortune and health. In addition to this, a logo has been designed for the company Terras Gauda. The logo has been created from the golden ratio. To complete the creation of the logo has been applied to different formats in corporate stationery elements of the company such as envelopes, sheets, business cards or folders. A calligraphic style typography has also been created, representing the branches of the vineyards".
