Pepe comes from the second project "Juguetes infantiles de madera". The name is an abbreviation of "Pintaplumas Duck", giving a more friendly and childish name. To reach him I thought about the target customer, thinking about what I would play with the age of the target (4-7 years old). I liked stuffed animals but given the material to be used, this was not a good option, so I stayed with my love for animals.

Initially, Pepe was formed by holes where the child had to insert the feathers but later that part was left behind because it is a point where the child could put plasticine or crayons, decreasing the useful life of the duck. These holes gave way to a magnetic paint, which covers the entire duck and allows the attachment of magnets.

The game consists of the child drawing whatever he wants on a sheet of the material he prefers, it does not have to be a feather on a sheet of paper, it can be a giant heart in eva rubber. The material is not a problem because Pepe consists of magnets with tweezers where the child develops his fine motor skills by making the movement to open the tweezers, with which the child picks up whatever he wants to place. This makes learning and creativity of the child is even greater because it has no limits.

It is made of pine wood treated with products for durability, magnetic paint and marine varnish. I used a marine varnish because I wanted the game to be more than just an afternoon game. By creating a waterproof duck, the child can take it to the bathtub after playing with the feathers and continue to have fun there together. Besides, what's the point of a land duck?

Pepe comes with a backpack where he can keep his magnet-pins and not lose them after a long day of play.
