When you go to the supermarket to do your grocery shopping, you probably don't think about the dual use that many foods can have. However, our students often look beyond that when it comes to their projects. If we tell you that the vitamin C content of a bell bell pepper can have applications in the world of cosmetics, you might be surprised. And this is exactly what happened to Paula Sanchez, a third year student in the Official Degree in Graphic Design.

This project consisted in the creation of a product based on the dual use of peppers. As she tells us: "The overproduction of peppers creates the need to give a different use to this food for its possible use in the market".

In her research, Paula discovered that the vitamin C contained in red peppers helps to form collagen, a protein that gives firmness and elasticity to the skin, favoring its hydration. So she focused the project on the development of two products:

- An antioxidant serum with vitamin C.

- A facial cleanser with vitamin C.

Once the products were defined, he defined the target audience he wanted to address and that would facilitate the creation and implementation of a brand and company for production and distribution.

With the intention of transmitting aesthetic values such as harmony and elegance, he focused his work on the creation of a packaging that would work as a 'brand communication vehicle', attracting the public thanks to its visual impact without prior testing. For the elaboration of her final prototypes, Paula used heavyweight 'hammered paper' to add texture to the result, thus completing the visual experience generated from a palette of black and white.

Finally, she decided to name the project and brand 'Templum' because of its meaning in Latin, 'Temple' and the connotations that this term has: relaxation, peace, meditation and thus link their products to this type of concepts.
