I am a graphic design student from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and I spent a semester at ESADA last spring.

I studied in the 3rd year of the graphic design faculty. The system, the way they operate, and how the semester is structured are entirely different from my university. We have more smaller projects and more theoretical classes. I appreciated the approach of aligning classes with the main project and adding every detail to complete the bigger picture. However, if I may be honest, I often felt that the concept didn't always translate well into reality. I understand, of course, that time management and meeting deadlines are important in this profession. Yet, I felt at times that in the rush, the quality was compromised for the sake of quantity. While we are still in school, I believe that learning and growth should take precedence over rushing to meet almost impossible deadlines.

On another note, if I could offer one more critique, there were occasional difficulties due to language barriers. We always managed to overcome them, but they did make certain aspects more challenging. Generally, I am grateful to ESADA for offering me new perspectives, methods, and the opportunity to meet amazing people. I will always cherish the friendships that I owe to ESADA.

Being an exchange student in a country very different from mine was a truly life-changing experience. Spending time as an Erasmus student in Granada takes your life to a whole new level for a few months. The opportunities to travel within the country and abroad are incredible, and I will forever treasure these memories. In Granada, boredom is virtually impossible. There's always a party, a tour, a tapas night, a trip, or a picnic happening somewhere. The international community is always eager to try new things because everyone wants to make the most of their Erasmus experience.

Spending this much time in Spain allowed me to become part of local customs and celebrations. In Spain, it seems like there's something happening almost every other week. I loved experiencing how much the Spanish people enjoy celebrating and how they always find a reason to organize a fiesta.

This phase of my life has taught me to be open to new people, new experiences, and never to turn down a good tapas night. Lastly, Spain will always hold a special place in my heart. :)
